Inspired by her familyís roots and an endless array of gemstone colors and shapes, designer Janyl Adair created Sarda, a jewelry design company to express her passions through fashion jewelry. With an unmistakable talent for creating classic, clean designs, Janylís jewelry collections speak to every woman and for every woman. Striking. Classic. Playful.
The Sarda name dates back four generations to Janylís great great grandmother Anna Sarda. A bohemian descendent of Slavic origin, Anna migrated with her family to the United States in the 1860s, settling in South Dakota. A dreamer she was, Anna worked side-by-side with her six siblings to build a homestead, yet it was what she created in her spare moments that built her legacy. Through paints and brushes Anna captured the untamed beauty of the Dakota plains giving her paintings to those she cared most about - her family. After marrying, Anna moved to Washington State to operate an Irish pub with her husband in the Ellensburg valley. Her pioneering spirit, creativity, determination, and commitment to family live on in her descendents who remain in the Pacific Northwest.
